About this activity

East Africa’s (Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, and Rwanda) birdlife is remarkable and few clients or residents can fail to be impressed by the large variety of colorful birds they see and by their relative’s tameness. Bird watching is a science, a sport and art but above all, it is one of the highly rated leisure travel activity. Although many birds can be seen at close range in their regions parks and reserves, binoculars are essentials for bird-watching. Some 1,400 or more species have been recorded in East Africa, which represents approximately 15 per cent of the world’s total. This figure is changing each year as new bird species are discovered particularly in Tanzania.

Tanzania is an amazing bird watching destination in that world boasts at least 1,038 recorded bird species, the 3rd biggest in Africa. Our Tanzania birding safaris are only for keen and enthusiastic birders and naturalists, for people interested in something else than viewing wildlife from comfort of their vehicle. Apart from the usual game drives in the traditional sit in car style, we normally walk with our binoculars in Acacia woodlands and plains in the national parks and reserves’ identifying different bird species normally from only there calls.

Our Kenya birding safaris are best suited for birders seeking a slow but detailed that gives the very best of the Kenyan bird life in Avery relaxed atmosphere. And is especially famous as the temporary home of several migratory species which fly from as far off as Europe (including flamingos and pelicans)

Uganda is arguably the most attractive country in Africa to bird watchers (tour), not only to because of the unusually number of species recorded within its borders, but also because it offers easy access to several bird-rich habitants that are difficult to reach elsewhere. Uganda’s remarkable avian diversity, over 1000 species recorded in an area similar to that of Great Britain. East Africa is probably the best place in the world for bird watching.
