East Africa’s (Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, and Rwanda) birdlife is remarkable and few clients or residents can fail to be impressed by the large variety of colorful birds they see and by their relative’s tameness. Bird watching is a science, a sport and art but above all, it is one of the highly rated leisure travel activity. Although many birds can be seen at close range in their regions parks and reserves, binoculars are essentials for bird-watching. Some 1,400 or more species have been recorded in East Africa, which represents approximately 15 per cent of the world’s total. This figure is changing each year as new bird species are discovered particularly in Tanzania.
Tanzania is an amazing bird watching destination in that world boasts at least 1,038 recorded bird species, the 3rd biggest in Africa. Our Tanzania birding safaris are only for keen and enthusiastic birders and naturalists, for people interested in something else than viewing wildlife from comfort of their vehicle.
