The 14 days Uganda-Rwanda safari package offers the best highlights in both countries, notably gorilla trekking and the Big 5. Major safari activities include gorilla trekking, game drives, chimpanzee and golden monkey tracking, boat cruise, among others. Visit the best national parks in Uganda and Rwanda including Murchison Falls national park, Kibale national park, Queen Elizabeth national park, Bwindi impenetrable national park, Volcanoes national park and Akagera national park.
Meet your guide at Entebbe airport (Uganda) upon arrival or at your hotel in Entebbe/Kampala and be transferred to Kibale National Park, one of the dense tropical forests in
the western region of Uganda known as the homes of chimpanzees. The drive may take + 5 hours with en route stopovers to stretch, take photography as you watch over the rolling hills and swampy wetlands along the countryside till you find yourself in Fort Portal then Kibale. You will check in to Aramaga Lodge.
Have breakfast at your lodge, later jump into your jeep and drive for a brief at Kanyanchu visitor’s center, where you will later find access to the forest to trek the
chimpanzees. Kibale is home to over 13 primate’s species including Thomas galagoes, red tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, baboons, to mention but a few
which are often sites along the route on trekking the chimpanzees. You will be given an hour on finding the chimpanzees to watch their daily life. After trekking, you will head for lunch before heading for a swamp walk at Bigodi bird sanctuary which is another hot spot to spot more primates and bird species. It is a birding paradise. You will later return in the evening for dinner and overnight at Aramaga Lodge.
Today after your morning breakfast, jump into your jeep and find your way to Bwindi, which is famous for gorilla trekking, harboring half of the world's remaining gorillas.
You will have en route lunch along the way and reach in the afternoon, check in at Arcadia Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Have breakfast at the lodge, and later you will head out for gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will be transferred to the park headquarters and in the
company of the ranger guides, you traverse the forest jungle, hiking steep slopes and descending narrow valleys not forgetting crossing the seasonal streams in search of
these endangered apes. The whole encounter can last about 2 – 6 hours with one full hour of spending with the gorillas. You will later return to the lodge for hot lunch and in
the afternoon, embark on the Batwa Cultural Experience. The batwa are the real natives of the bwindi forest who were evacuated from the forest as a reason for conservation of the park. Later return for dinner and sleepover at the Arcadia Lodge.
In the Morning after breakfast, you will go canoeing in Lake Bunyonyi, where you shall visit different islands in such a beautiful lake, jump on to the vehicle and drive to
Rwanda thousand hills with an en route lunch and with a stopover at the equator for an photography and equator experience. Reaching in the afternoon across the border to
Rwanda thousand hills, check in to Ingagi Park View Lodge, unpack your bags, relax and stay overnight.
This morning, you will drive to Reception to start the trekking of Golden monkeys. In Rwanda they live in the bamboo vegetation towards the base of the volcanoes and
habituation has helped them to overcome their initial shyness to accept their daily visit by researchers and tourists. They are very active creatures and jump from tree to tree which is really interesting and a little difficult to photograph! The golden monkey trek is worth going for a while in Volcanoes National Park then after you will later return to the lodge for lunch and afternoon you head for Ibyiwacu cultural village, one of the activities which is suitable. Overnight at Ingagi Park View Lodge.
Early morning, after breakfast, you will meet a park guide for breathing about that experience of Visit the Diana Fossey Tomb. The excursion will provide you with
excellent background information. Later you will have Lunch at Gorilla View hotel. After lunch, if you are strong enough you will head for the local market and buy some
souvenirs. Overnight at Ingagi Park View Lodge.
This day, in the morning after a relaxed breakfast, you will start enjoying the greatest landscape of Rwanda, on the way to Lake Kivu (01h30 drive). Check in to your lodge,
have lunch alongside Lake Kivu breeze. In the afternoon you will start by Boat ride, which will take you to the island like, island where you will find bird species, Star Island
where you found Monkey and Peace Island from there you will be back in evening, you will enjoy swimming, and sand of Kivu beach. Overnight at Lake Kivu Serena Hotel.
On This day, after breakfast, you will leave Gisenyi and drive to Karongi for visiting environmental museum, which is the only environment museum in Africa. Later you
will check in at Cormoran Lodge for overnight stay and dinner.
In the morning after having your breakfast we shall enjoy beauty of Karongi at lake Kivu, where we will have a full boat ride on Lake Kivu which is biggest lake in Rwanda
where we shall visit different historical Islands such as the Napoleon Islands where we find a lot of bats, Star Island where we find some species of monkeys and
Peace/Amahoro Island. From there we shall go for lunch, from there we shall drive to the Chimpanzee Lodge to spend your night and dinner.
In the morning after breakfast and drive to the park headquarters and head to starting point where you shall do a Canopy Walkway for 40 minutes in the forest, a thrilling
adventure awaits you afterward you will drive heading back to Kigali, via Huye district to visit One of the biggest Museum in Rwanda, it holds a lot of history of ancient
Rwanda, from There you will have lunch and drive to Nyanza, to visit Kings Palace museum, then drive to Kigali for overnight stay at Hotel des Mille Collines.
In the Morning after your breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked by your driver guide and you will be transferred to Akagera National Park doing a half game drive
where you will be watching beautiful animals such as Antelopes, water bucks, bush bucks, giraffe and many others with a nice view of savannah, letterhead for a boat trip on Lake Ihema which is the second biggest lake in Rwanda, watch Hippos and crocodiles in the water or by the shores and meet the buffaloes and elephants wallowing by the water banks, and other beautiful sceneries from thereafter, you will be having relax evening at your hotel and dinner. Accommodation at Akagera National Park Mantis Eco Lodge.
We shall have yet another day of adventure within the park, enjoying the beautiful sceneries of Rwanda’s hilly landscape, composed of a blend of wetland, savannah, and
woodland, the natural forests also make quite a view. The location of the park shows that it lies at a lower altitude as compared to rest of the country, if fortunate, we may be
able to sight at the Shoebill Stork, especially around the shores of the lake. From here you will drive back to Kigali, Dinner and overnight in Kigali. Accommodation at Hotel
Des Mille Collines.
Have a relaxed breakfast, and after, you will visit Genocide Sites to learn more about genocide against tutsi of 1994, Art gallery,... depending on your flight time. Then, we shall transfer you to the airport to catch up with your flight.
