Situated in the remote southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, on the banks of the Ntungwe River, this intimate tented camp will allow you to truly experience the African wild. Ishasha Wilderness Camp is ideal for romantics looking for a peaceful stay, and is ideally situated as a base from which to explore the park.
Set out on game drives to search for the rare and famous tree-climbing lions, as well as the many other species found here. You can also enjoy excursions to Lake George’s floodplains or to Kazinga village to meet a traditional medicine man and learn a little more about the local customs and culture. Bird watching will introduce you to some of the 610 species of birds, and the park is also believed to host one of the largest populations of hippo, so keep your eyes peeled for these river-loving creatures.
